Open to U.S. high school and college students, the competition consists of a series of challenges that allow students to demonstrate their ability to identify hackers from forensic data, pentest and audit vulnerable websites, recover from ransomware attacks, and more. Student players compete in the NCL to build their skills, leverage the NCL Scouting Reports for career and professional development, and to represent their school in the national Cyber Power Rankings.Find out more »
The Gymnasium opens prior to the start of the Preseason. It contains practice challenges and guides to help you prepare for the rest of NCL. Participation in the gymnasium is not required but is recommended.Find out more »
The Preseason is used to place players into an appropriate bracket to facilitate competition with other players of the same skill level during the Individual Game. Participation in the Preseason is required to be a ranked player, making you eligible to win prizes, obtain a Scouting Report, and represent your school in the Cyber Power Rankings. You may not receive any assistance from anyone else during the Preseason.Find out more »
The Individual Game is where you compete with all the players in NCL, even the other student players from your school. Performance from the Individual Game is used to award prizes and calculate your school's Cyber Power Ranking. You must compete in the Individual Game to be eligible for prizes, obtain a Scouting Report, and represent your school in the Cyber Power Rankings.
